Memo, the title of this series of photos, alludes both to the colorful paper notes used for various types of reminders, the raw material I used for creating my paper boats, and to the memories themselves. The miniature vessels float though beautiful, mysterious landscapes. They offer the viewer a tempting aesthetic experience, yet concern creeps into the seemingly magical childish abundance.
The process brings together the actual with the imaginary, play meets reality, the living forever contrasted with the imminently dying, the innocent and the seductive, the amusing and the threatening. Under the naive guise an erotic invitation is hidden. The climax of beauty and vitality contains the beginning of the unavoidable demise of these transient paper boats.

שם העבודה Memo מתייחס הן לפתקאות הנייר הצבעוניות המשמשות לכתיבת תזכורות – חומר הגלם שממנו אני יוצרת את סירות הנייר – והן לזיכרון עצמו. סירות הנייר הזעירות שטות בנופים מרהיבים. הן מציעות לצופה חוויה אסתטית מפתה, אך לתוך השפע הקסום, המוכר והתמים והילדי לכאורה, מתגנב חשש.
העבודה מפגישה את הממשי עם המדומה, את המשחק עם המציאות, את החי לנצח עם העומד למות, את התמים עם המפתה, את המשעשע עם המאיים. תחת מעטה תמימותם חבויה הזמנה ארוטית. בשיא יופיים וחיותם מצויה כבר ראשיתה של כליה בלתי נמנעת מתוקף ארעיותם.
